As a not-for-profit, donor support propels all that we do: creating incredible music that unites us across cultures, providing refugees with artistic fellowships, outreach work in prisons, educational programs in under-resourced middle schools, residencies in communities in need of opportunities – like the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation – and so much more. 

Through multi-faceted artistic and justice initiatives like American Railroad, we are resetting the narrative, uniting humans across fragmentation, and celebrating diversity. While no small task, we believe in this crucial, exciting work – and we need your support!

• Helps underwrite a community concert and artist talkback

• Sponsors artist rehearsals of Uplifted Voices or American Railroad

• Aids our efforts to bring Silkroad musicians and educators to the Standing Rock Reservation in North and South Dakota to engage in cross cultural and musical exchanges that amplify the Indigenous experience in the Unites States

• Underwrites the participation of two refugee students to attend Silkroad’s Global Musician Workshop

• Adopts a Silkroad Connect school and brings world-class artistry and opportunities to under-resourced middle school students

• Sponsors a creative residency for Silkroad’s artists as they develop Uplifted Voices or American Railroad

• Sponsors a Refugee Artists-at-Risk Fellowship for one year

• Underwrites a commission of incredible new music as part of American Railroad

• Sponsors two Refugee Artists-at-Risk Fellowships
