Give Now to the Refugee Artists-at-Risk Program

You can help Silkroad's efforts to evacuate and resettle artists fleeing the life-threatening situation in Afghanistan. Silkroad has set a goal to raise $250,000 in support of a new Refugee Artists-at-Risk Program to offer Afghani artists a lifeline to create and perform their art and music here in the United States, free from Taliban reprisals.

Your support of the Refugee Artists-at-Risk Program will help us provide:

  • A one-year working fellowship at Silkroad, through which these musicians and other artists will create and share their talents with the world

  • Emergency visa assistance and evacuation efforts

  • Resettlement support in the United States

  • Creative development, performance, community outreach, and educational opportunities

Afghanistan is one of the most dangerous places in the world to be an artist. Your gift today will help ensure a bright future for these struggling artists.
