FEES FOR GMW BOSTON:

We strongly recommend living on-campus, as this promotes community among GMW participants. Late night jam sessions will also take place at the residence hall.

Tuition: Free for participants!

For GMW 2025, Silkroad will provide financial assistance to all 70 participants by covering their tuition.

Meals & Administrative Fee: $640

Covers dinner on August 9, plus three meals per day for August 10 through 16, and breakfast on August 17. By selecting this option, you agree to make your own lodging arrangements off-campus.

Single Occupancy Lodging & Meals (optional): $1,475

Including the meal plan above, this also covers eight nights at the New England Conservatory's state-of-the-art residence hall, checking in on August 9 and checking out on August 16, 2025. Bed linens and one pillow will be provided. Rooms are single occupancy with shared bathrooms on each floor.

Double Occupancy Lodging & Meals (optional): $1,300 

Including the meal plan above, this also covers eight nights at the New England Conservatory's state-of-the-art residence hall, checking in on August 9 and checking out on August 16, 2025. Bed linens and pillows will be provided. Rooms are double occupancy with shared bathrooms on each floor.

Tuition: 13,800 RMB (approximately USD 1,972 at an exchange rate of 7). 

Single Occupancy Lodging & Meals* (covered in tuition)

Tuition includes seven nights at the state of the art Zhejiang Conservatory of Music on-campus hotel with private bathrooms, checking in on August 25 and checking out on September 1, 2025. Meals are also included in tuition which covers dinner on August 25, plus three meals per day from August 26 to August 31, and breakfast on September 1. 

*For US citizens only: Lodging and meals might be waived pending a grant award. Applicants will be notified by June 1, 2025 whether or not the grant is awarded.
